And while many of us don’t like to wish time away, we have to be honest — we’re happy that Spring is right around the corner. After all, what’s not to love about the return of the sunshine and flowers coming into bloom? It’s many people’s favorite time of the year for a reason. It’s difficult not to be positive when glorious spring rolls around!

Plan a Meal
It’s always fun to plan a big meal with your family regardless of the time of year, but it’s especially enjoyable at Easter. We’ve all made it through the chill of the winter months, so it’s time to come out of hibernation and enjoy time together. Plan a big meal for Easter Sunday with all your immediate and extended family. You can ask your visiting family to contribute something to the meal if you’d like, or you can handle it all yourself. Just be sure to let them know well in advance, so they don’t make other plans.
Fun for the Kids
Easter is for everyone, but it’s especially fun for children. After all, they’re already in a good mood because the returning sunshine allows them to play outside, and when you throw Easter into the mix, they’ll be even happier. You can maximize their enjoyment by putting together some fun activities for your little ones. This may involve looking up some kid’s TV shows about Easter so that they can get in the holiday spirit or planning your very own easter egg hunt in your yard. Bonus points if you or a relative dress up as the Easter bunny!
Get Dressed Up
As with a family meal, it’s always fun for everyone to get dressed up in their best clothes. There’ll be many days when you all just wear the same old clothing; when Easter rolls around, be sure to dust off your finest clothing and make an extra effort. If you don’t currently have any outfits that are appropriate, then now’s the perfect time to hit the stores and pick up some new clothing. The theme should be ‘Spring Smart.’ That could mean a nice dress for the ladies and a casual but smart suit for the gents.
Go for a Family Walk
Spring is in the air. You’re well-fed after a delicious meal. You’re all dressed in your best clothing. What now? A lovely late afternoon walk in the sunshine, of course! You don’t necessarily need to have a destination in mind. You can simply wander and enjoy the feeling of being alive on such a beautiful day. It’ll be the perfect way to end a perfect day.
