Easter isn’t cancelled because of Covid-19, so I’m looking at the sweet side of things and having a backyard picnic with the family.
If you, too, are tired of being stuck inside and are looking for a little backyard Easter idea, I hope this post helps.
Activities:
- Picnic (make little sandwiches and serve with veggies + dessert)
- Decorate cookies
- Plant seeds (flowers, herbs, etc)
- Pick flowers
- Easter egg scavenger hunt (a twist on the classic egg hunt)
- Mini Cadbury Egg-filled mason jars (great for neighbor gifts)
If you have nice weather outside, you can celebrate in your backyard. If you have to stay in, you can picnic in your living room.

What to Put In Your Easter Eggs
My all time favorite Easter candy are @reeses Eggs, and my husband’s are @cadburyusa Eggs, so we always use them for our egg hunts each year. If you need more egg stuffin’ ideas, try adding money, chapstick, letters (and kids have to form a complete sentence with the letters), puzzle pieces, etc.
Pinterest has a lot of really cute Easter egg ideas, as well as more Easter scavenger hunts.
