There’s just something about an old craftsman-style home and its character that draws me in. I absolutely love when home owners play up the craftsman-style character of a home and work it into their interior design.
This 1909 craftsman-style home was purchased by Rob Long, writer and executive producer of one of my favorite sitcoms, Cheers! He very tastefully renovated the home, but kept so much of the character that made this home unique.
Nestled into its oversize lot, the 2,936-square-foot home has three bedrooms and four baths and has been totally updated while still sympathetic to its original character.
The reason I love my own house so much is because it has so much natural light coming in through skylights and large windows, and this home has that same sunny charm.
The hardwood floors, white walls, skylights, large windows and French doors also add a beachy feel to this home, while the front porch gives me a plantation/farmhouse vibe. It’s is a great place to sit and sip some sweet tea and soak up a sunset.

Inside, the first floor includes the living room with gas fireplace and original Pierre Madel Paris chandelier opening to the rear garden, separate dining room, a large library that was repurposed from the fourth bedroom, a bar with two wine coolers and a large eat-in kitchen with high-end appliances and large island with slate countertop.

Upstairs is the master suite with walk-in closet and large balcony overlooking the tree-shaded deck and courtyard. Two guest bedrooms are also located on the second floor.
