Christmas Bar Cart Tutorial

Christmas Bar Cart Ideas

I prefer to keep things simple on a bar cart, but also somewhat balanced.  I like to add natural elements like wood textures, fresh fruit, and texture and color.

For this Christmas bar cart, I framed the area with a homemade dried orange garland + a wooden garland from McGee & Co.  They wooden garland is actually a dark green color and was only $16.

Dried Orange Garland

I love the idea of using dried fruit for a garland.  I originally saw the idea on Pinterest, of course, and found the perfect dried oranges at TJ Maxx.  It actually came in a potpourri mix, so I had my kids pull out the oranges while I strung them on a strand of twine.

Most of our dried oranges already had a hole in the middle where the orange started to separate, so I just strung twine through the dried orange, and tied a little knot in the twine between each slice.  There really is no right or wrong way to make a dried orange garland, so feel free to start over if you aren’t happy with your creation.
