The difficulties of summer break and working from home are beginning to set in. I want to be outside enjoying the sunshine with my girls all day, but deadlines, emails, and everything else are calling me. I have tried to keep myself as free as possible this summer to allow for more time to be with my girls, but bills have to be paid, right?
My girls are obsessed with dining al fresco, so I today I joined them for a little dress-up snack break/scavenger hunt. I did not dress up. In fact, I was still in my pajamas, but my girls looked adorable. I also created a simple “I spy” scavenger hunt guide to give them something more to do outside. It’s amazing how getting outside for 20 minutes or so every few hours can lift your mood so much when you feel like you’ve been stuck inside for hours. We all appreciated the break and snack.

This little “I Spy” scavenger hunt is perfect for preschoolers who can’t read yet. Simply print it out and let them hunt for all sorts of plants and critters in the backyard.
FAGE Total Split Cups – The Perfect Summer Snack
My girls’ snack of choice today were the blueberry FAGE Total Split Cups. They have 30% less sugar (reduced from 16g-17g down to 11g) and contain no artificial sweeteners or zero-calorie sweeteners. My girls love the creamy texture mixed with the flavorful real fruit topping, and mommy likes that they are getting a good protein-rich snack.
I’ve been utilizing the Walmart grocery pick-up service a lot this summer, so I just add a variety of flavors of FAGE Total Split Cups and plain Greek yogurt to my shopping cart. If your Walmart doesn’t have this service yet, you can use the store locator to find FAGE products near you. My local Target also carries them.
If the fruit mixed with yogurt isn’t your thing, I encourage you to try the plain FAGE Total 0%. It is Non-GMO Project Verified, gluten-free, additive and preservative free, contains no added sugar and is a great source of calcium. It’s made with only milk and live active yogurt cultures which is great for your gut health. Plus, it’s great to include in various recipes.
You may remember me using the plain Greek yogurt to create yogurt bowl recipes in some of my previous posts — I’m still doing this for myself and am still obsessed with the everything bagel combination. If you’ve tried any of my recipes, let me know in the comments below 🙂
