Gardens are beautiful. They are a wonderful place to pass a sunny afternoon, entertain friends and play with the kids. The only problem is that looking after a garden can be time-consuming. If you are not careful, you can easily end up having to spend hours every week keeping everything neat and tidy. This is especially the case if you want a colorful garden. Flowerbeds take a lot of work to keep neat and blooming.
Fortunately, there is an easier approach to creating a colorful garden. Using Lincoln tree planting professionals is a fast way to add a ton trees and shrubs with color without you having to worry too much about maintenance.
Crape or Crepe Myrtles
For example, you can buy some stunning Crape Myrtle Trees from The Tree Center. These beautiful plants can either be left to grow as tall shrubs or be crafted into trees. I say crafted, which sounds complicated. In reality, all you need to do is to remove the growth from the bottom and keep the trunk clean as it grows. They come in a range of colors, mostly, hot pinks and purple tones,
If you have just moved into a new home planting one of these is a super fast way to create a nice tree. Some varieties grow by as much as 5ft, per year. However, you do need to be careful not to let them get out of control while they are establishing themselves.
Southern Marigolds
Marigolds are also stunning. Even while small they produce huge elaborate flowers from the spring onwards. If you look after them they can grow into a 30ft tree. But, you need to protect them from late spring frosts that will kill the flowers and leave the tree bear for the rest of the year. Planting them against a south-facing wall or fence is a good way to stop this from happening.
Oklahoma Redbud
This is an interesting tree that you do not see very often, but it is becoming easier to get hold of. Its beautiful pinky red blooms run along the entire length of its fine branches. Once the flowers are gone the leaves become visible. Initially, they are green but turn to a lovely warm gold in the autumn before they fall. The good thing about these leaves is that they are small, so do not necessarily have to be collected and mulched or burned.
Cherry trees
If you like fresh fruit planting cherry trees can be a good way to have the best of both worlds. With cherries, you get stunning blossom and tasty fruit. Just be careful to buy one that produces the type of cherries you enjoy eating. Also, check whether you need a male and female tree to produce fruit and, of course, make sure that you do not buy the ornamental kind. This type is deliberately bred not to produce any fruit.
