They say the shoes a girl wears tells a lot about her character. Or did I make that up? Either way, don’t be afraid to splurge on a pair of shoes that makes you feel like YOU, ladies! I needed a pair of shoes to go with a Free People dress (on sale right now) I bought for an event, and the Zula black chunky heels from Privileged shoes looked like a good match.
Chic Black Chunky Heels
The Zula black chunky heels from Privileged are made of a soft suede material and feature a sexy high arch throughout the middle. It definitely took me a minute to get used to the arch, but I think the shoes looked great with the dress. The chic bow-like piece on the front adds a bit of femininity to the shoes and the peep toes make them a great transition shoe from winter to spring or summer to fall.
I feel like every girl needs a good pair of black shoes in their closet, and Privileged has so many to choose from. Between boots, booties, sneakers, pumps and everything in between, there’s something for every personality.
About the woman behind these shoes:
Spending five years working for a shoe company after graduating college, owner and creator Jennifer Chou was tired of looking at the same basic shoes every day. Making the decision to venture out and create the type of shoes that make people smile and turn heads, Chou took a trip to China with her husband to search for factories that were willing to work together. Turning their kitchen into an office, they created Privileged Shoes! Named Privileged because it is truly a privilege to be able to create something that other women can relate to and feel good about themselves when wearing, Chou believes these shoes represent the unique personalities of all women. Some celebs have even shown off their soles including Nicki Minaj, Brandy, Lindsey Lohan, Snooki, Lady Gaga, Carrie Underwood and more!
