Happy Thursday! I’ve been wanting to start a new blog series that highlights alternatives to more drastic solutions to problems, and I’ve decided today is the day to begin. Today’s topic: Instead of that (hair cut), try this (deep conditioning treatment).
It is recommended that we get a trim every 6-weeks or so, but if you’re trying to grow out your hair, like me, the thought of even the slightest trim is cringe-worthy. I’ve been on this kick of trying deep conditioning treatments on my hair and it has allowed me to go months without getting a trim.
Deep Conditioning Treatment Products
There are lots of different deep conditioning treatments for hair out there in various price points. I have been using the Sun Bum brand conditioning masque which is about $19.99 at most stores and the Hask mask packets. There are also many others from reputable brands, which I have listed below.
After shampooing, I just leave the Sun Bum deep conditioning treatment on for as long as I can before rinsing. I typically do the hair masque on days that I need to shave, because let’s be honest, I don’t have time to shave every single day.
