Beauty is something we all know and love… well… sort of love. To some people it is their sole mission to find the best beauty hacks, and make themselves look as beautiful as possible on a daily basis. To others, it is a chore on the weekend whenever they’re going out with friends. So what category do you fall under? Whichever one it is, we can all agree on one thing, aging is something we want to avoid. Unfortunately, it isn’t something we can.
There are those lucky few who will have that youthful look until they’re into their late ages. For others, aging can start as young as the teens. There are so many factors that can contribute to it. One being stress, lack of sleep, poor diet, and genetics. But one thing we can do is work on preventing, and minimizing the signs of aging. This is what this article is going to help you with today. There are plenty of tips to follow that should keep you looking youthful for longer, let’s explore some of them.
Daily Tips
Some people don’t have a daily beauty routine. There’s just too much going on around them, that they barely have time to focus on relaxing, let alone their beauty. If this sounds like you, we’ve got some easy tips for you to follow.
Firstly, you need to be staying hydrated. People don’t seem to realize the glorious effect water has. We’re not talking about hydrating yourself with a nice glass of coke, or maybe even a bottle of wine. We’re talking about some crisp refreshing water each day. Water flushes out all the toxins in your body for one. It doesn’t clog up the stomach with sugars it doesn’t need to digest like some drinks do. But for the skin, it can have amazing results.
They recommend you drink around 2 liters of water a day. Now, that is a lot, and some people just really don’t like drinking it. To make it that extra bit tastier, mix it with some muddled fruit, but try and keep it diluted as possible. After around two weeks of drinking that amount of water daily, you should notice your skin becoming more supple, hydrated, and have a natural glow to it.
Water isn’t the only beauty hack you need to be trying on a daily basis. Sleep plays a massive part in healing our bodies.
Even if you don’t realize it, or even think you need it, rest is what rejuvenates our whole body. It helps us process thoughts and events that have happened during the day. But when it comes to our skin, the benefits are even higher. For example, we all know how horrible our eyes can look if we’ve gone even just a night having less hours sleep than we’re meant to. Bags and lines begin forming under the eyes. Over time, this does lead to the skin prematurely aging. Signs of fatigue will begin to show more and more, and the bags that were once so small will begin to grow. A lot of people are just so busy that they don’t prioritize sleep, but we need you to change this if this sounds like you. The recommended amount of sleep to have per night is 8-9 hours for an adult, it does however shrink slightly as you age. But there’s nothing to say that you shouldn’t be getting more than that if you feel like you need to. A good night’s sleep helps to keep skin looking fresh, prevent fatigue of the whole body, and give the skin that plump feeling we all know and love.
One final tip we have to offer you is using a daily anti wrinkle cream. Even if you’re in your 20’s and feel as though aging is years away, the process has most likely begun deep below the surface. Companies such as sio beauty offer patches you can put on your face overnight, that will leave your fine lines massively reduced overnight. If these two options don’t appeal to you, then you could consider using a night cream is good enough if you’d rather not have skin with a layer of cream on it in the morning. Anti wrinkle creams work to reduce the sign of fine lines, and prevent any signs of aging. Even if buying a pot does make you feel old, we highly recommend you do it before time runs out!
Lifelong Tricks
It’s all well and good protecting your youth on a daily basis, but you need to think about what you can be doing in the long run to help keep any signs at bay. Again, this isn’t just aimed at people with signs of aging, it is relevant to girls of all ages. The first thing we recommend is treating yourself to a beauty treatment now and then.
There are so many spas, or even just your local beauty salon, that will offer age defying facials. Most of these work by mapping your face before hand to point out all the areas that need some attention. They then massage collagen cream into the face, which doesn’t leave you oily by the way, and relaxing the tissues within the face. The collagen within the cream promotes skin cell growth, which should keep them looking younger for longer. This treatment doesn’t usually come cheap if it is done professionally, and actually done by someone who knows what they’re doing. A course usually costs around $600, and you’ll usually need around six treatments. But the results in the end are just amazing. By the end, your skin should be naturally producing the collagen it needs to stay looking young, and you only need to top up every six months. The results after just one treatment are amazing, let alone the sixth! If you have a bit of money spare, we highly recommend doing this. This coupled with the daily prevention techniques we’ve talked about should help to keep your skin youthful.
Early Prevention
We’ve touched briefly on this, but we can’t express enough how important early prevention is. The sooner you’re realizing your skin is going to get old, the sooner you can start acting on it. Even if no fine lines are present, we highly recommend starting the beauty treatments we have listed from around the age of 20. There are other early prevention techniques that you can use as well that we haven’t mentioned.
Every girl loves a beauty pamper night, so why not combine the things listed above with an age defying face mask once a week? Most of them work by tightening the skin, and giving it a bit more plumpness. The plumpness is what helps to keep those fine lines at bay.
One part of the face that we haven’t focused on, but can easily show signs of aging are the lips. Try and keep them as hydrated as possible with vaseline each day. It helps to keep them subtle refreshed, and the lines that can develop around the lips should be kept at bay.
Focus On Your Whole Body
So, we’ve focused on the face mainly, but the whole body can show signs of aging, even if we don’t like to admit it. Skin suddenly isn’t as tight as it used to be, and wrinkles will begin to show across more of the body. It is important that you’re using a daily firming moisturizer daily, even if you aren’t showering. Make sure you’re using a scrub three times a week in the shower as well. It might not reduce the signs of aging, but it does help to rid your skin of any dead cells, allowing new ones to be produced quicker.
