Happy Monday! Today I’m doing a little recap on my recent girls trip to San Francisco with my good friend, Taylor. We had an entire kid-free weekend and a fun itinerary set up, so we loaded up the Kia Cadenza and headed out. Between dinner, drinks, dancing and singing in our hotel room, and a fashion show, we had a blast.
The Hotel: Clift San Francisco
Fall is San Francisco’s most glamorous time of year, with fresh fashions adorning the windows of Union Square’s famous shopping district and long nights of parties and fun nights out. The best way to take full advantage of the quickening pulse of the city’s heart is to stay steps away, at the hip-yet-classic luxury boutique hotel, Clift San Francisco.
The hotel’s opulent exterior hearkens back to the city’s glorious Beaux Arts period, while inside you will find art works ranging from the avant-garde to contemporary periods, a crisp Phillippe Starck-designed interior, and cutting-edge happenings, cuisine, and cocktails.
Our room was super comfortable and had a stunning view of the city. We were easily able to walk down to Swig and enjoyed hours of dancing and drinks.
Dinner: Wayfare Tavern (hosted)
First of all, a huge thank you goes to Wayfare Tavern for graciously hosting us.
Wayfare Tavern is a timeless San Francisco Tavern featuring American dishes inspired by local cuisine at the turn of the 20th century. This restaurant has an “old Hollywood” charm about it, with deep gem-toned furniture, and glowing ambient light.
I’m still craving the fig bruschetta, popovers, pork chop, and cucumber mules. This was hands-down, one of the best meals I’ve had in the city, and the service was outstanding. Chef Tyler Florence does an amazing job with the menu and food presentation, creating a unique dining experience you won’t soon forget.
The portions are large and almost share-worthy, but the restaurant will happily box your food up for you to take it to-go (which came in handy after a night of dancing).
I highly recommend you make reservations if dining here on a weekend. It tends to get a bit busy, so to ensure you get your preferred dining time, just give them a call or visit their website to make a reservation.

Girls Night Out
After dinner at Wayfare Tavern on Saturday night, we headed out to Swig down the street from our hotel. We arrived super early (such a mom thing), and ended up leaving when the bar closed. We danced all night and laughed until we cried.
Obligatory pre-dinner hotel elevator selfie… Vodka/soda with extra lime please…
Fashion Show
We were invited to attend a fashion show put on by Planet Fashion TV. Planet Fashion presented the inaugural San Francisco Fashion Showcase at the prestigious Green Room.
Lindsay Nicholson New York
The afternoon cocktail and fashion show featured designer Lindsay Nicholson from Australia, whose brand is headquartered in New York. Her line embodies a chic take on the modern woman.
Karma Bikinis
The afternoon also featured Karma Bikinis. The line was recently featured in British Vogue and they debuted their complete collection at Miami Swim Week this past July with Planet Fashion TV. Karma Bikinis donates a percentage of their revenue to ocean conservation, hence the name Karma!
33 Rue Du Maroc
Finally, Planet Fashion closed out the afternoon with a spotlight on emerging trends in luxury resort and evening wear with a unique collection by 33 Rue Du Maroc.
