In honor of National Coffee Day, and the entire month of October, Caribou Coffee is donating 10% of purchases to CancerCare®, a nonprofit organization offering support, education and financial assistance to those affected by cancer.
Caribou Coffee has been a strong supporter of cancer research and treatment organizations. For 22 years, Caribou has been offering Amy’s Blend Light and Dark Roasts in honor of Amy Erickson Amy is Caribou’s original Roastmaster, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 1995. Since 1995, Caribou Coffee has given approximately $2.75 million to cancer non-profits
Caribou Coffee believes Amy’s story lives in every bean. As Caribou’s original Roastmaster, Amy set the standards for Caribou Coffee and established the high-quality practices employees use today.
“We honor Amy with every batch we roast and we also recognize that everyone knows an ‘Amy,’ whether as a patient, survivor or a supporter,” said John Butcher, President of Caribou Coffee. “While celebrating National Coffee Day, we want to put our efforts and focus toward the larger goal of making a positive impact on those living with cancer or supporting a loved battling the disease.”
After National Coffee Day and October sales, Caribou Coffee will plan to give 10% of all Caribou Coffee sales and Amy’s merchandise up to $250,000 to CancerCare.

Amy’s Blend Dark Roast, is a combination of sweet and floral aromas with fruit undertones and a clean finish Both light and dark blends will be available at Caribou coffeehouses across the country throughout October.
