DIY Semi-Homemade Ice Cream Cake
I’m not terrible at baking cakes, but I have never actually attempted to make my own ice cream cake. I leave that to the experts at I Love Ice Cream Cakes! And I don’t mind driving down to my local grocery store (Save Mart) to easily purchase a pre-made ice cream cake.
We recently celebrating my husband’s birthday, so I let my girls pick anything (yes, anything) they wanted to decorate the cake with from the cake aisle at the grocery store. They chose rainbow sprinkles, rainbow squiggly candles, and a rainbow ‘Happy Birthday’ banner.
Once we got home, I slid the Oreo Ice Cream Cake out of the box and let them get creative. The cake turned out to be delicious and oh-so-colorful, and my husband loved it. Here is the result of that awesome creativity:
