It’s all too easy to lose touch with friends when you’re a parent, but a support network around you is definitely needed to celebrate your highs and be with your for your lows. We’re living in an age where people are only a text or instant message away – don’t leave it up to them to get in touch. Put out the feelers and see if you can get out for a walk in the park together, or maybe a coffee date. There are so many child-friendly places around nowadays, with lots to entertain them. There are even play cafes which are able to offer a soft play for your children to have fun in safe environment while you catch up with your pals. Being a parent is quite a lonely thing if you don’t have people around you that you can make conversation with; talking to a child isn’t quite the same thing! So take advantage of your time together and enjoy it.
