Soak in a Hot Bath
A hot bath solves everything. When you’re stressed, unwell or tired and want to feel better, hot water and bubbles can soak your troubles away. A hot bath reduces blood pressure, boosts mood and promotes relaxation so is the perfect way to start off your cozy night in. Having a gorgeous bathroom to relax in is key, and so spend some time making it spic and span and update your accessories. Fluffy towels, a soft bath mat, and pretty decorative pieces will make it even more enjoyable to spend time in. If it’s seen better days, you could consider a full bathroom remodel instead. You’ll add value to your home, and it will be so much more enjoyable to spend time in.
Use Pampering Products
After your bath, using some pampering products will make you feel really fresh and revitalized. Cold weather can be harsh on our skin, so some hydrating body butter, hand cream, and foot cream is a nice way to pamper and protect against dryness.
Wrap Up In Comfy Pajamas
Warm pajamas, dressing gowns, fluffy socks and slippers are what fall and winter are all about! The ultimate attire for relaxation, go for ultra soft cotton and fleece for even more comfort. Now is the perfect time to treat yourself to some new winter pj’s,so pop some in your shopping basket next time you’re out.
Light Some Scented Candles
Scented candles set a beautiful ambiance, there’s nothing better than the warm flickering glow when the weather outside is bad. You could go with a classic brand such as Yankee Candle, splash out on something high end such as Diptyque or just pick up a budget brand. There are plenty of great smelling options you can find in high street stores that only cost a few dollars.
Watch Some Movies or Great TV
You’re never short for movies to watch when you have Netflix, and with it being so close to Halloween you could put on some horrors or thrillers. One of the great things about fall is that there is always a load of great TV series on to watch too. Alternatively, you could pop on a family friendly movie and spend movie night cozied up with the family instead.
Enjoy Some Delicious Food and Drink
The colder months are the time for some classic home cooked comfort food. Skip the takeaway and prepare something that was made with love. If you want to keep it simple, utilize the slow cooker. In the morning put in your choice of meat, potatoes, vegetables and seasoning on low- then by the evening you have a piping hot meal ready to go. Indulge in some hot chocolate or some fancy teas and coffees, or whip up a batch of warming spiced apple cider. Celebrate the flavors of fall and winter and let a good meal and drinks warm your bones.
