Looking good takes work and time. But it can be hard to find the energy and a spare minute in the day when you’ve got kids. We’ve all been that at the school gate that looks scruffy and exhausted at least once! But the truth of the matter is, if you look good, you’ll feel good. You’ll also feel more like yourself and less like, ‘just mom’ too, so it’s worth putting a bit of effort in where you can.
Face
Just a little makeup can make such a difference to the way you look and feel. As a mom, you’ll probably not have time for a full face contour and set before you head out the door each morning, and that’s totally ok. They key here is to look after your skin and get any cosmetic issues dealt with by a dermatologist like Belcara Health. Then you won’t need to have a full face on every time you step out the door. Use some CC or BB cream, to even out and mattify your skin. Pop a slick of colored lip balm on and some mascara and you’re good to go in three quick steps.
Wardrobe
While you have to wash, iron and put away the kids clothes it can be pretty difficult to take care of your own wardrobe. A great solution to this problem is to shop for a capsule wardrobe like this one here. You can have as little as nine items and always look well presented and matching. The brilliant thing about a capsule is that every item will match with any other so no matter what you throw on as you’re heading out the door, you will look great.
Accessories
Style is not just about your clothes but, how also you style them. Treat yourselves to a few scarves, a few different pairs of shoes and a stylish bag or two. Its doesn’t have to be designer stuff, just bits that you like the style of and that matches in well with the rest of your wardrobe. It’s always good to have a nice pair of sunglasses too. They are perfect for hiding puffy eyes caused by a lack of sleep!
Fitness
Of course, fitness is a big factor is how we look and feel. People that are fit and healthy have more energy, better skin, and improved posture. I bet your thinking ‘I’d love more energy’, but how can I find the time to exercise when i have the kids to look after? But you have to remember that it’s important that you have some time to yourself as well. Get dad or the grandparents to take care of the kids for a few hours every week and then you can go to a Zumba class, or joining a running club. If you are having trouble finding someone to babysit, why not move the furniture in your living room and do exercise DVD? Or you could even put on your sneakers, pop the kids in the stroller and go for a speed walk around the park!

I'd trip and break an ankle if I wore those shoes. I'll take a pair of stylish flats, please.
