When searching for kids shoes, price, fit, style and durability are what we look for. My girls have been loving their Cienta Mary Janes!
My girls love their Cienta Mary Janes because they provide lots of cushion at the soles and are fastened by velcro, instead of a buckle like adult shoes. Plus, their Cienta shoes smell amazing. I know that sounds really weird, but it’s true. Their shoes are scented with a sweet, fruity scent – sort of like Strawberry Shortcake dolls. We love it!
What My Girls Wore
Kendall is wearing the red Cienta Kids Shoes ($36 – zappos.com) which feature a canvas upper, hook and loop velcro closure, a cushioned canvas footbed and a durable rubber outsole. They weight just 3 ounces so they aren’t too heavy for a toddler.
Charlotte is wearing the Black Metallic Cienta Kids Shoes ($36 – zappos.com). Like the red shoes, these ones feature a breathable canvas upper which has a glittery, metallic shimmer to them. They also have a rubber outsole, cushioned canvas footbed and a hook and loop velcro closure. They are just 4 ounces in weight and are perfect for my soon-to-be-kindergartener.
Sizing
Kendall was 15 months old when I ordered her Mary Janes, so at the time, I ordered her an infant 2.5. She has started to outgrow them so I’m going to have to order her a new pair pretty soon. I actually pulled out the insole to create a little more room in the shoes, and we were able to get a few more weeks out of them.
Charlotte is typically a size 9 in most shoes but her feet are growing quickly, as well. I ordered her a 9.5 and they are a bit big but she still wears them with or without socks.
Where to Buy Cienta Shoes
Cienta is an internationally recognized brand of cool and stylish children’s footwear made in Spain. You can use the Cienta store locator to find a shop near you or check popular sites like Zappos.com, Amazon.com, 6pm.com, Nordstrom, Shoes.com and more.
I love how affordably priced and durable the Cienta shoes are. Kids are rough on their shoes and our Cientas have held up nicely. Plus, they’re super cute and go with just about any outfit.
… and they smell so good!!

Do they actually stay smelling nice. My childs feet sweat a lot in the warmer months and shoes need to go into the wash more than i like..
