Summer can’t get here fast enough, in my opinion. I’m totally a warm weather girl, so it’s fitting that I live in sunny California. We do get a mild winter which is just enough cold weather to make me yearn for Spring and Summer to arrive. I wanted to share a quick round-up of some of my favorite summer beauty products, which I’ve already started using (giggle)! Check ’em out below:
Bare Minerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation with SPF 20
This liquid foundation is one of my favorite Bare Minerals products. I apply it with my fingertips and then smooth it out with a foundation brush. Since it’s an oily texture, it goes on really thin and tends to get streaky. Using a foundation brush helps to smooth out the foundation quite a bit.
What I love most about this serum foundation is the weightless, no-makeup feel. Although it has an oily texture, it actually contains no oil, silicone, no parabens and no fragrance.
Clearista Retexturizing Gel
Because I use a super thin liquid foundation, my skin has to be very smooth before I apply it. This is where Clearista (ad) comes in.
This miracle retexturizing gel was actually created right here in California in a University lab. It works to retexterize the outer surface of your skin leaving nothing but polished skin that is more open to hydration. This gel is unlike any others I’ve tried because it doesn’t feel like it scratches my skin. My face isn’t red and splotchy afterwards so I can immediately begin my beauty routine. I like to use Clearista in the shower one time per day about twice-a-week following my normal facial cleansing routine.
The certified biodegradable Ecobeads are among other essential ingredients like water, potassium chloride, polysorbate 20 and capryl sultaine that work to resurface your skin in preparation for your normal beauty routine. The smell is subtle (reminds me of wine) and the feeling you get after each use is fresh, smooth and clean.
Jurlique Sun Specialist Sunless Tanner
This lightweight, non-streaky formula is designed to provide multi-benefits of a natural, golden sunless tan, protection from environmental aggressors and intense hydration. It goes on just like a moisturizer and I notice instant results.
Mommy Makeup Mineral Shimmer Powder
This is a pressed shimmer powder that works on the face or eyes. I use it at the tops of my cheekbones for a dewy look. It helps to blend my blush better and gives a more youthful look.
This mineral shimmer powder is oil and talc-free, and is enhanced with vitamins A, E and C. It goes on smoothly and not cakey, which is my favorite part.
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow
This is a product that was actually given to me by a friend that works for Benefit. In the past, I was not a fan of some of benefit’s products because of some reactions I had to them, but I absolutely love this cream shadow. It layers well with powder shadow but also gives that dewy effect when used alone.
During summertime, I’m all about minimalist makeup looks and this shadow is perfect for that.
Prada Candy Eau de Parfum Rollerball
Because I travel quite often, I prefer the rollerball perfumes versus big bottles. They are carry-on-friendly and pack as much of a fragrant punch as the bigger versions. This fragrance is instantly attractive and literally smells like cotton candy (in the most grown-up, sexy way possible). It’s one of the only fragrances that actually lasts on my skin, too.
I have lots of other summer essentials, which you can check out in my beauty or travel gear categories. I would also love to know about some of your must-have summer products! Leave me a comment below!
I received one or more of these products complimentary. Regardless, my opinion and experience is always my own. Thanks for taking the time for learn more about my sponsors.

Summer seems so far! I like Spring colors. Not sure how Jurlique Sun Specialist Sunless Tanner would work on olive tone skin but it is something to look into.

I really want to get the Jurlique Sun Specialist Sunless Tanner! It seems like a great alternative to sun tanning.
