Air plants are some of the easiest plants to take care of. They require very little maintenance and can be arranged with your favorite natural decorative objects. Because air plants don’t need to be planted in soil, you can arrange them with many different natural materials like drift wood, sand, rocks, moss, shells, etc.
For this air plant tutorial, we’re using natural materials that came in our MakersKit (affiliate). You can purchase a complete kit for $24 from Makerskit.com or head to your local hobby store to pick up the supplies.
You’ll need:
Aerated Glass Globe (4 x 4)
Decorative Rocks
Dried Lichen, Dormant Mood Moss and Reindeer Moss
Water Atomizer (spray bottle)
Twine
- Start by placing the rocks in the bottom of your glass bubble.
- Next, arrange the lichen and mosses on top of the rocks.
- Once your materials are arranged to your liking, place your air plant in the bubble.
That’s it. Easy peasy!
