One of my most treasured holiday traditions is baking cookies with the family. We try new recipes every year and possibly gain a couple of pounds 🙂

I love putting on Christmas music and decorating the Christmas Tree. My sisters and my Mom all get together every year to spend a whole day cookie & bar baking. Can you imagine several women in the kitchen at the same time cooking all day long. It makes for an interesting day. Then we all share what we cooking and send home a baking box for our families.

We have a tradition of opening gifts from the family on Christmas Eve and then opening just the gifts from Santa on Christmas day. We leave Santa the traditional milk and cookies, but we also leave him a thank you note thanking him in advance for his visit and the goodies he's going to leave 🙂

I remember a tradition with my mom and dad when my brother and I were kids. We always made Christmas cookies together, just the four of us and it was always something fun to look forward to.
