Products that Naturally Repel Lice
With all of these lice scares we’ve been hearing about on the news, I thought it was fitting to share some awesome products that prevent lice, naturally. While catching lice while traveling is a rare occurrence, it can happen and it can’t hurt to be on guard, right?
SoCozy, one of our favorite kids hair product lines by Cozy Friedman, happens to have their own line of natural lice prevention products called, Boo!. The Boo! line includes a shampoo, conditioner and lice scaring spray. Each of these products includes natural ingredients like peppermint, tea tree oil and rosemary, which not only smell stupendous, but naturally repel lice.
SoCozy was kind enough to send us their Boo! products to try out and I admit, I think I’m enjoying the products more than my four-year old. I’m a sucker for a minty shampoo or conditioner – I love the smell and the feeling of the natural extracts on my scalp. As I mentioned before, these products smell so good, too.
Each of the SoCozy Boo! products is $14.50 on the SoCozy website, but you might be able to get them a little cheaper at Target. I always use my RedCard at Target which automatically gives me a 5% discount on my purchases. Often times, I can find a coupon to couple with my RedCard discount, too.
Where Can You Catch Lice While Traveling?
– Airplanes – think of all those heads that have been on the same headrest yours is sitting on. Yuck! While getting head lice in this way is super rare since lice is typically spread by head-to-head contact, I’d rather be safe than sorry. Especially if you’re sitting next to a stranger.
– Kids Camps or Daycares – Most kids camps at resorts are super sanitary but you never know if your child’s new best friend on vacation has lice. Advise your child to NOT share hats or have head-to-head contact with other kids.
