I’m completely hooked on the press-on nails from KISS right now. My hands are photographed quite often for my blog and I like to have pretty nails for the pictures. The press-on nails from KISS last me about one week (unless I take them off sooner) and only take me about 10 minutes to put on. The best part about them (besides the fact that they look and feel amazing) is that there’s no glue or acrylic involved, so, it’s a mess-free, healthier alternative to the falsies you get from the salon. Plus, the imPRESS manicure is the only waterproof press-on manicure on the market.
Each nail comes ready-to-go with adhesive on the back. You simply peel off the clear backing and stick the nail onto your nail bed. The most difficult part of the whole process is finding which nails fit your nail beds. Each pack comes with 24 press-on nails to fit just about any size fingers. I like to line all of my nails up in size order before I put them on, just to avoid any issues.
These press-on nails are super soft which means they are easy to clip and file to your desired shape or length. I prefer my nails to be on the shorter side so I trim them down about one hour after I put them on and then file them to my desired shape.
Tip#1: Keep them just longer than the adhesive underneath. If you trim the nails too short, you’ll be battling with lint under your nails all week.
Tip #2: During the first hour after you’ve put your nails on, continue to press them down onto your nail beds to ensure a perfect stick.
Tip #3: Fit each fake nail slightly smaller than your natural nail for a more natural look.
