Radio Flyer has been an iconic household brand since 1917 and has really modernized the ordering process recently with their Build-A-Family programs. We had the chance to give their new Build-A-Scooter program a test run this June and it was so much fun to see our creation come to life. Check it out:
The Build-A-Scooter program allows families to choose a color and deck graphic style for the high performance 3-wheel scooter to create the perfect ride for your little one. Additional accessories personalize the scooter even more to give it that extra flair.
Fun features include:
Light-Up wheels
Storage Bag
Streamers
Bell
Name Personalization
Build-A-Scooter is available only at RadioFlyer.com and ranges in price from $49.99 – $89.99 depending on selected features. There are over 250 combinations with the Build-A-Scooter program.
For Charlotte’s scooter, we went with a purple bubble deck, her nickname (Charlee), streamers, a bell (which we ended up removing) and a bag. She loves to fill her scooter bag with her little Shopkins and My Little Pony toys but it’s large enough to hold a lot of goodies, including a small drink.
Radio Flyer’s three-wheel scooters are a little more difficult to ride than a traditional two-wheel scooter. It took Charlotte a few tries to get the hang of it but she’s cruisin’ like a pro now.
What I love most about the Build-A-Scooter option is that you have the chance to really customize the toy for your child. Traditionally, Radio Flyer’s products were that flashy red that we all know and love, but now that they have added three more colors to their line, kids are sure to find something they love.
These scooters make great gifts, especially for kids who don’t have a particular wish list this year. What a great unexpected surprise to receive the gift of a personalized scooter, bike or wagon. Visit www.RadioFlyer.com to start building!

This scooter looks like a blast. I like the three wheel feature. It seems that would make the scooter a little more stable and therefore safe.
