If you are like most people, the only camera you use anymore is your smartphone camera. I get kind of panicky when I see that my phone battery is low and there’s no place to charge it, thinking I might miss some great pictures or not have phone power if an emergency occurs. The Treqkr50 Solar Charger is an awesome solar powered power bank that can charge your smartphone, tablet or other device when you are away from electrical outlets when camping, hiking, etc.

The Treqkr50 is lightweight and comes with 4 standard adapters, or you can use the charging cable that came with your device. The power bank itself can also be charged before leaving home using the included micro USB cable. I used this device for about half an hour when I was up in the mountains this weekend, and it took my iPhone 6 from 16 to 87% in that 30 minutes, so it probably would have been fully charged in less than an hour. (I shared my Treqkr50 with friends, so I didn’t want to hog all the power in the bank!)
This solar charger is simple to use – just put it in a sunny spot and the blue lights turn on as it is charging up. When all 4 lights are lit, you have a full charge. This is definitely one of my favorite tech products, and something I will be bringing along on all my travels!
