How can it be that my baby is nine months old already? Time flies with the first kid, but the infant stage REALLY flew by with the second. I can’t believe that I’m already searching for first birthday party ideas.
Since Kendall was born on Halloween day, I’m trying to go with a Halloween first birthday theme, but in a cute way. I’m thinking something along the lines of “Our Little Pumpkin is Turning One” pumpkin patch party. Halloween day falls on a Saturday this year so it would be fun to do an evening party and then head out trick-or-treating together as a group.
I’ve been on a hunt for adorable customizable baby stationary and found some really cute first birthday invitations on BasicInvite.com. While none of the invitations had a pumpkin theme, I was able to create one with the look I was going for.
This post was made possible by Socialite.com.
What I love so much about Basic Invite’s customization system is that you can reposition the font, change the font sizes and really make the stationary your own. I’ve used other baby stationary companies in the past and while they all have cute options, they aren’t fully customizable like Basic Invite. They have so many unique and trendy stationary options on their website right now. It’s so important for businesses to stay on top of the latest trends and I feel like the designers over at Basic Invite are on top of it.
Here is a mockup of an invitation I created. The image in the invitation is the stock image and not Kendall’s photo but I think it would be really cute to take a picture of Kendall with little pumpkins all around her for the invitation.
I was able to select the font colors, background colors and even the photo frame color. I feel like I’m really bad at choosing things like colors and details so I ended up using Basic Invite’s stock colors because they went well with the theme I was going for.
The price for the invitations I created varies but if I order 30 invitations, the price per invite is $1.57 each. That’s comparable to other stationary companies out there. You also have the option of ordering a sample before you product the final product.
Birth Announcements
Basic Invite has lots of other stationary options. If you’re in need of birth announcements (which I completely skipped with Kendall), you can check out some of my favorites below.
Some of these birth announcements are making me wish I had done them for Kendall.
I’m loving this new trend of doing a baby shower that includes the daddy and his friends. The dads always seem to get left out because, traditionally, the baby shower was for the mom-to-be. Pinterest has a lot of cute ideas and Basic Invite has some great invitations to go with the newly popular daddy shower themes.
