Keratosis Pilaris Treatment | Emmaus Beauty Products

I’ve battled with Keratosis Pilaris since I can remember.  It’s a common skin condition that causes rough patches and small, acne-like bumps usually on the arms, thighs, cheeks and buttocks.  The bumps are usually white, sometimes red, and generally don’t itch or hurt but they sure can be embarrassing.  This is a difficult skin condition to treat but is said to disappear by the age of 30.  Well, I only have six more months until I’m 30.  I guess I have something to look forward to.

Having battled with Keratosis Pilaris my entire life, I’ve gone through phases of being extremely self conscious about it and phases of not caring so much.  I notice that sun tanning seems to help the bumps go away, but this usually results in super dry skin and typically isn’t that healthy for you.  I notice the bumps get worse when I apply lotions or body oils so I really just can’t win.

I use the body wash daily and apply it with a pouf or wash cloth.

The Emmaus Softness Bliss Body Lotion ($65) protects and nourishes the skin with a combination of Baobab, Sunflower, Coconut and Grape Seed Oil, while Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid sloughs away dry, dead skin cells to encourage the skin’s renewal process.  You’ll notice smoother, softer and less dehydrated skin after the first use.  Continue use should reveal clear, glowing skin.

The Softness Bliss body lotion feels and smells amazing.  It goes on thinner than some of the other lotions I’m used to, but it keeps my skin hydrated without feeling greasy.  That greasy feeling from other products is typically what clogged my pores so I love that this lotion doesn’t feel thick.
