Now that I’m a parent, the last day of school has a whole new meaning. It means I will get to spend more time with my daughters. It means popsicles and picnics on the porch. It means sleeping in and having long mornings in our pajamas. It means fun, laughter and freedom.
But it also means juggling work and home life which can be stressful.
Being a work-at-home mom sounds like a dream, but it’s not for everyone. I admit that I have meltdowns quite often. I rely on my husband’s help to take care of the dishes, laundry and cleaning a LOT more than I’d like to admit and don’t see myself as the best mom I can be. But my daughters do.
As humans, and women, we are always looking ourselves in an “I wish I could change that” way. I think this is a natural feeling to always want to change things about ourselves and see the flaws that nobody else sees. We are hard on ourselves, ladies.
When you’re feeling down on yourself for whatever reason, just try to put yourself in your kids’ shoes. They see you as their mom. The woman they love. The woman that takes care of them. The woman that keeps it all together when things seem tough. We are their safe haven, their rock and their guide in life. Think of the love your child has for you, and the love you have for them.
There are so many things our FabKids do that make us smile and wonder how we ever got so lucky. When I’m having a bad day, my daughters can always bring me out of my funk. To get started, create your child’s style profile by clicking the GET STARTED tab at the top of the page on the FabKids website. You start by choosing the gender of your child, add your child’s size and age info, their favorite color, and select some outfits and brands from their examples that you think your child would wear to various events. Once FabKids has your child’s style profile down, they begin suggesting outfits based on the selections you made in your style profile quiz.
