If your kids love flavored milk, but you hate all the artificial colors and ingredients, Jessica’s Organic Syrup is just what you’re looking for!
The strawberry syrup is made from real organic strawberry puree, and tastes very similar to fresh strawberries. This would be awesome on vanilla ice cream or on pancakes! Since my favorite flavor is vanilla (yes, I’m boring..), I replaced the traditional maple syrup on my french toast with the vanilla syrup. I absolutely loved it! In fact, I’ve been using the vanilla syrup in my coffee with milk instead of flavored pre-made creamer. The vanilla flavor tastes so much better than the French vanilla creamers I’ve been using, and I don’t have to worry about all the chemicals and artificial ingredients.
At this time of year strawberries in our area are not quite their sweetest, so I used some of the Jessica’s Organic Strawberry Syrup to sweeten them up. It made a nice glaze that tasted terrific on shortcake!
Here’s a great and easy recipe from the Jessica’s Natural Foods website:
Mexican Un-Fried Ice Cream (serves 4)
1 pint (2 cups) vanilla ice cream
1 cup Jessica’s granola, any flavor
Jessica’s Strawberry or Vanilla Syrup
Whipped Cream
Cinnamon (optional)
Place granola in a food processor and pulse to break up large chunks.
Scoop ice cream into four 1/2 cup balls.
Roll ice cream balls in Jessica’s Granola.
Drizzle with either flavor of Jessica’s Syrup.
Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free from Jessica’s Natural Foods. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
