Just because I carry an excessive amount of junk in my bag, doesn’t mean I have to settle for anything less than chic, right? I’ve recently converted my Robert Matthew Elizabeth Tote ($189) into a mommy bag/diaper bag and it’s been getting lots of attention on the streets.
Just kidding – I’m rarely ever on the “streets.” I live in small town California. It’s all almonds and dairies around here. The cows are applauding me, though. This is a faux leather handbag that looks anything but fake.
Just so you’re aware, I received a bag from Robert Matthew to facilitate my review. Any opinion expressed in this article is based on my experience with the product and is never influenced by compensation.
This nude colored tote bag has just enough room for my wallet, diapers, wipes, 50 lip glosses, toddler snacks and then some. The classy pinstriped fabric inner lining reminds me of a pair of Victoria’s Secret silky pajamas and really adds a nice touch to this bag.
I’m in love with the light gold hardware and the 5″ drop double handles. This bag also comes with a removable shoulder strap that adjusts from 30″ to 55″ but I’m not a fan of that style of strap. There’s plenty of room to hide the junk with two inner zippered pockets, two inner open pockets and one exterior zipper pocket. And, if you’re like me and end up dropping or dumping your purse over often, you’ll appreciate the zippered top closure. The exact measurements of the whole bag are 15″ x 13″ 5″ which is the perfect size, in my opinion. Not too big, not too small.
If the nude color isn’t your thang I encourage you to check out the Robert Matthew website (robertmatthew.com) to view all of the color choices for the Elizabeth tote. The black is my second fave!
