Is your epidermis showing? Don’t worry, it should be. Your epidermis is the top part of your skin, and your skin is your body’s largest and fastest-growing organ. Skin is your body’s coat. It protects you. It helps you stay warm when it’s cold, and cool when it’s hot. Your skin keeps all your insides in, from your heart and lungs to your blood and muscles. And unless it’s cut or damaged, it keeps stuff out, including germs and water. So why are you smothering your skin in harmful products?
During pregnancy, and life in general, we should always work to take care of our entire body and that means we need to be cautious about the foods we eat and the products we use. There are so many skincare products on the market today that claim to be “natural” or “good for you” but we all know that this is usually just a ploy to get you to purchase their not-so-natural products.
At True Natural, their mission is to provide you with high performance, chemical-free personal care products that are safe for you, your family & the environment. All True Natural products are either formulated & produced in the U.S. or Germany to the highest ingredient standards, using only 100% natural ingredients. They are committed to certified organic ingredients whenever available. True Natural products are safe for the whole family, safely biodegradable and contain no parabens, phthalates, petroleum, synthetic fragrances or dyes of any kind. True Natural ingredients are certified organic whenever possible and of the highest quality. Many are certified by the natural certification bodies such as BDIH, Natrue and the Natural Products Association.
Having recently tried a product from True Natural, the Lavera Butterly Effect Mascara, I can truly say that they really do offer true natural products. The ingredients list for this mascara contains: rose petal extract * in water & organic alcohol *, iron oxide, beeswax *, fatty alcohol, sorbitol, castor oil *, vegetable glycerin oil, jojoba esters, potassium cetyl phosphate, natural polysaccharide, jojoba oil *, shellac, silk, ultramarine blue, natural sucrose, xanthan, acacia, silver, vitamin E, sunflower oil, vitamin C and natural essential oils.
While I really didn’t like this mascara at all (mostly because of the wand), I’m still impressed with the pure ingredients list. I’m usually a two to three-coat of mascara girl but I just could not achieve my full lash look with this mascara. I can’t tell you how many times I poked myself in the eye with the wand trying to get my lashes coated. A poke in the eye means a watery eye. A watery eye is extremely hard to get make-up on.
The product goes on really thin so it requires way more than three coats to achieve a fuller lash look and I just don’t have time for that. The product sells for $35 on the True Natural website but I advise against purchasing it. Instead, maybe try a foundation or powder, lipstick or lip gloss, or another natural product that Lavera offers.
Please know that I haven’t written True Natural off just because I found a bad product that they offer. I just might steer clear of the Lavera products and go for the True Natural or Benecos products instead.
