While trying to be more eco-friendly with household cleaning and laundry products, I have tried all the top brands in my local stores such as Method, Seventh Generation, Ecos, GreenWorks, Ecover, Mrs. Meyers, etc., etc. I’ve even tried to make my own cleaners at home with recipes from the internet. While I love using these eco-friendly products, I don’t love the prices! The last family size package of laundry detergent was over $16 and only did about 25 loads.
I received a free product in exchange for my honest review. Any opinion expressed in this article is based on my experience with the product/brand.
One brand that I was not aware of was Safonique. Safonique has been around since the 1990’s and was developed by Patricia Boswell. She was a pioneer in the eco-friendly and sustainable market. It contains essential oils and a wonderful lavender scent. For about $7.00, Safonique is 2x concentrated and will wash about 32 loads of laundry in a front or top loader washer.
Safonique contains no phosphates, synthetic dyes or perfumes, and even the packaging is made from sustainable ingredients. It is safe for all types of fabric, even delicates and hand washables. I really like how my laundry smells after drying. I use fragrance free fabric softener dryer sheets and I can still smell Safoniques’ fresh smell while I’m folding my laundry.
Safonique can be found in over 600 stores, including Wal-Mart and Amazon. Now that I’m aware of Safonique, I’m finding it everywhere! I’m thrilled that I do not have to spend a ton of money to have a wonderful, eco-friendly and hypoallergenic laundry detergent.
