I was first introduced to the Ozeri line of products when I reviewed a small 8″ Green Earth frying pan last year. I will say that this little frying pan is the most used pan in our house. We all love its non-stick surface and how easy it cleans. Then, I was lucky enough to review one of their amazing remote controlled room fans. Let me tell you, this fan is the best thing since sliced bread!
Now I’m really excited to have the larger, 12 inch, Green Earth frying pan. It’s going to take the place of about 3 or 4 other fry pans (most with scratches or missing pieces of the non-stick surface!). We use our Green Earth pans with no oil or butter whatsoever and food just slides right out of the pan! Ozeri recommends using a small amount of oil in the pan. Ozeri uses an amazing textured ceramic non-stick coating from Germany called Greblon, and Green Earth pans are 100% PTFE and PFOA free. You literally can clean this pan by just wiping it out with a paper towel, but we use a small amount of soapy water to avoid any kind of buildup.
Ozeri Green Earth pans have great silicone handles and the magnetized pan bottoms work well on induction stovetops. It has great heat distribution on my gas stove as well.
I love the earthy green color of these pans and they are nice and heavy. The 12 inch pan weighs about 3.5 pounds. My only criticism of this pan is that it is called a “12 inch” pan, but really the top of the pan is 12 inches and the cooking surface at the bottom is about 10.5 inches. Not a big deal as it is large enough to make a large quesadilla or a good sized omelet.
Oh, did I mention that this pan came with a great pan protector cloth to save scratching when you stack your pans!
