With only a few weekends until Labor Day and the fact that the end of summer and school holidays are just around the corner, Hilton is encouraging travelers to make the most of the rest of summer and inspiring weekend beach travel by creating professionally-crafted sand sculptures.
National Play in the Sand Day is August 11 and the below sculptures were set to inspire both fun and weekend travel.
In addition, Hilton wanted to share some tips so you all could create your own sand sculptures from Margot Eisbart, sand guru and pool & beach manager, Hilton Cabana Miami Beach
:
· Sketch the Sand: Use a shovel or paint stirrer to draw an outline in the sand where you want the sculpture to stand
· Need a Beach Base: Shovel out a sand pile, then pat down and soak with water
· Hydrate to Hold: Water is the critical ingredient – you can never use too much water
· Master the Mold: Over-fill a small bucket with damp sand. Level off the sand. Turn and then lift bucket in desired spot. The more you differentiate your buckets, the more varied your towers
