Enlightened Ice Cream
Desserts just got a whole lot healthier thanks to the folks at Enlightened. They’ve created a whole line of “good-for-you ice cream” that isn’t made with all of the junk. You’ll find nothing but wholesome deliciousness in their sweet treats and you won’t have to deal with the guilt. No, really!
My family and I sampled the Fudge and Peanut Butter Enlightened ice creams on a stick recently and much to my surprise we all thought they were tasty. At first, we noticed the bars had somewhat of a dry or powdery texture when we took a bite but that bite would slowly melt into a creamy ice cream texture that was irresistible.
Enlightened ice creams are packed with protein and fiber but actually have good flavor. For some reason, foods with lots of fiber are always associated with tasting like cardboard but that’s definitely not the case with Enlightened. I’m always struggling to add protein to my diet and these bars are an easy way to get the job done. In fact, they are so filling that I almost can’t finish an entire bar… almost!
