So many products claim to be “green” and safe for use with children and pets, but when you read the labels they still contain some chemicals, most of which you cannot pronounce. I prefer to use something with ingredients I recognize.
Ah! is a company that strives to keep their products safe, green and clean with all natural, hypoallergenic and non-toxic products. I’m totally sold on the Ah! All Clear Odor Eliminator, a fabric refresher type spray. It does not just mask odors with a fragrance like many brands do, but really does eliminate odors. I have had a mildewy smell in my laundry room for about 3-4 days. I finally figured it was coming from the washer. I tried running a bleach rinse through the washer, with no luck in eliminating the smell. Last night I sprayed the inside of the washer with Ah! All Clear, left the door open on the washer, and this morning there’s no mildew smell!! I’m so impressed! Ah! All Clear can be added to your carpet shampooer to eliminate carpet odor while cleaning, and can also be added to a load of laundry for really stinky clothes like football or soccer uniforms or athletic shoes.
I’m really excited to see that Ah! also offers a spray called Shhh! Personal that can be used to eliminate odors in places like elevators, restaurants, baby changing stations, gym bags, cars, airplanes, etc. At only 4 ounces, it’s the perfect size to carry in your glove compartment, purse or diaper bag.
Another really stinky place in the home is kitty litter boxes! Alexis gave the kitty litter box a good spray with the Shhh! Litter Box spray. This formulation is non-toxic and biodegradable. It will not irritate cat paws and is completely safe to spray directly on the litter. It definitely helped keep the smell down to a minimum. Of course, the cats are always “adding” to the smell, so it’s really hard to eliminate it altogether, but it definitely helps!
Another great product from Ah! I sampled was the Sunburn Treatment Gel. I haven’t had any recent sunburns, but I decided to try it on my dog’s hot spots since nothing else has helped. To my surprise, his two hot spots have dried up and he’s not licking them constantly! I think this would be a great product to keep near the kitchen stove for burns, or in your beach bag for sun overindulgence.
