The Dustbuster handheld vacuum by Black and Decker has been a household must have for years and years. I have had mine for at least 10 years, and I must say it’s still working pretty well for its age.

Now that I have received a sample of the new 20V MAX Black and Decker Lithium Pivot Vac, my old Dustbuster is getting passed down to the kids! The Pivot is an awesomely powerful little vacuum that blows my old handheld vac out of the water! The power of the Pivot with its cyclonic action rivals using the hose attachments of my big household vacuum. The wide head has amazing suction and even has a little pop out brush head to help with tiny spaces. The pivoting head lets you get into places that are not reachable with standard vacuum attachments. The Pivot comes with a smaller sized recharging station (not the huge plastic charger Dustbuster had).
The Pivot by Black and Decker is supercharged! With the Pivots’ lithium technology, I’ve been using mine all week long, even vacuumed my car floormats and seats, and there is no sign of the battery dying out yet. In the house I’ve used it to clean up bird seed under the birdcage, ran it around the bathroom floors to pick up hair and lint, and used it to pick up after sweeping the kitchen floor in lieu of a dustpan – and no sign of a low battery yet! I think that’s pretty amazing!
A really huge plus of the Pivot is the ease of emptying the dirt cup. You just pop open the side, pull out the filter, empty and pop it back in. The dirt bowl and filter are washable. No more of those papery filter bags that are so hard to clean. The Pivot comes with an onboard crevice tool, great for those deep skinny areas like seat cushions, and a 3 stage filtration system.
