There are so many “things” we parents do to prep for our new babies. We read, research and ask around when we have questions, obsessively at times. When my first daughter was born I read that the water temperature needs to be at a certain degree; not too hot and not too cold. I invested in a cute little rubber ducky that told me if the water was too hot or too cold, but I don’t think it ever worked correctly. I stressed a little bit about this at the beginning but as the weeks went by I learned that I could be a good enough judge of the water temperature just by using my hands. It’s funny, though, when you have your second child how things change. Some parents learn to care about little things less and some care more about the little things. Maybe it’s because I’ve been more enveloped in the baby product world since having my first child or maybe I’m just nesting more this time around, but I just had to get this adorable baby bath thermometer from Ozeri.

The Ozeri Turtlemeter baby bath thermometer accurately tells you the temperature of your child’s bath water and is activated immediately upon hitting the water. It updates every second for the most accurate temperature. This cute little turtle doubles as a bath toy and is made of nice soft plastic that is safe for your baby to play with. The Turtlemeter floats on top of the water and constantly displays the current water temperature in different colors; green means good, blue means too cold and red means too hot.
Since baby #2 isn’t here yet, I’ve actually been using the Turtlemeter for myself and my daughter, just for fun. They say when you’re pregnant that the bathtub water shouldn’t go over 100 degrees (correct me if I”m wrong), so I’ve taken on the help of the Ozeri Turtlemeter to tell me the water temperature. This little toy has been a great tool and I fully plan to use it when baby girl #2 gets here.
