Spenco Women’s Yumi Select Sandals from Footsmart.com
I’m totally a flip-flop girl. I live in my flip-flops during the summer, and most of the other seasons, too. Having a toddler to constantly pick up and chase after makes it a little difficult to wear heals so I try to choose comfy shoes when shoe shopping. On one of my latest visit to Footsmart.com (my favorite comfy shoe store) I found these Yumi Select Sandals from Spenco ($59.99). I chose to order this color of sandal because they just remind me of summer. I love the sporty look and figured they would go great with lots of outfits.
These Yumi Select sandals from Spenco have been great for my pregnancy foot aches. They are designed to help alleviate heel pain from plantar fasciitis and prevent the inward rolling of your ankle when you walk. They come in four different colors/patterns and come with an EVA foot bed that conforms to the shape of your foot.
The Fit
The sandals are a little on the wide side for me. They are labeled as “medium” width so keep that in mind if you decide to order them. Also, I ordered a size 6 which is my usual size and they are almost a little on the small side. Since these sandals only come in whole sizes I was afraid to go up to a size 7 in fear that they would be too big. There is a small lip on the heel of these sandals and my right foot tends to step on that edge while I’m walking.
My Overall Thoughts
I’ve been wearing these shoes everywhere because I love the arch and heel support. Spenco proves that comfortable orthodic-quality sandals don’t have to be ugly. When I ordered these sandals I actually thought the foot bed was suede or something similar but they are actually a water-resistant type material which makes them even better for the summertime.
Besides the problem with my right foot hitting the heel edge, I can’t find anything wrong with them. They are plenty wide for expanding “pregnant” feet which is exactly what I need this summer. (yikes!)
