Reese and Luke Shea Butter Baby Balm
Reviewed by Cristen
If you caught our Earth Day Faves post on April 22nd, you would’ve seen some products by a brand called Reese and Luke. Reese and Luke has become one of our favorite baby balm brands for a few reasons with the main one being that it WORKS.
Disclosure: I received two product samples in exchange for coverage on our blog. Any opinion expressed in this article is based on my experience with the product and is never influenced by compensation.
While the Reese and Luke Baby Balms are actually intended for and really great for your baby’s delicate skin, I’m actually loving it for myself. I’ve been dealing with this intense dry, rough patch of skin near my ankle bone for months and nothing has been working to help heal it. I started using the Reese and Luke original scent shea butter balm on my ankle and it has worked to relieve the itch, and hide the dryness. What makes it different than the other creams and lotions I’ve tried is that it’s a thicker formula, isn’t drying or sticky and has a long-lasting scent that I love.
Reese and Luke’s shea butter balms are made with USDA organic ingredients like essential oils, olive oil and herbs so you can be sure you are putting the safest ingredients on your family. Once applied, the ointment protects skin from moisture to prevent diaper rash, chafing and other skin irritations.
The Reese and Luke Shea Butter Baby Balm comes in two different sizes. You can order the larger 3.5 fl oz jar in the original scent on Amazon for $23.99 or the smaller tin of lavender scented baby balm for $13.99. While these products seem more expensive than some of the more popular brands of baby balms and diaper rash creams, they are made with much better ingredients and are safer for your baby.
Words from the Reese and Luke creator:
“When I became pregnant with my first child I knew that I didn’t want to use run of the mill baby products on my child. I care about the environment and wanted to use products that were organic, safe and that me daughter would love. Coincidentally I also decided that using cloth would be the way to go with diapering our soon to arrive bundle of joy. As my husband and I were deciding which cloth diapers we were going to use we also did a lot of research into what kinds of skin care products we would be able to use with them. We tried out a couple of different brands and none of them met all of our “wants” from a baby skin care product so Reese and Luke was created.”
More about their ingredients:
“Many of our ingredients have been used in natural medicines for centuries. Our entire product line is 100% natural and organic. None of our products contains artificial colors or fragrances, petrochemicals, sulfates, parabens or phthalates. We do not test any of our products on animals.”
As many of us moms can relate to Cassandra with not wanting to use run of the mill baby products on our children, I’m sure we can all appreciate the effort and care that goes into these Reese and Luke products. Head over to www.ReeseandLuke.com to shop, today!
