The Persimmon Tree Loose Leaf Teas
Okay, so I’m actually pretty new to tea drinking. We just recently got a new store in our local mall that sells loose leaf tea at crazy high prices. While this store is great for getting free samples and learning more about loose leaf tea and the various products associated with tea, I like to research product prices to find the best values.
I recently came across a company called The Persimmon Tree Tea Company out of California that has amazing loose leaf teas at great low prices. The Persimmon Tree offers customers some of the world’s finest organic teas and botanicals. Not only are most of their fresh high quality teas from around the globe hand-blended and organically grown, some of their teas are also fair trade, ensuring fair working conditions, fair wages, and a better life for tea workers from countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Disclosure: I received free tins of tea to sample in exchange for my honest opinion. My opinion is not influenced by compensation and I would not have mentioned the teas if I did not like them.
Since I’m prego, I try to avoid caffeinated products and stick to decaf teas like some of the Rooibos teas. I was able to give a few flavors a try, courtesy of The Persimmon Tree Tea Company. I chose the Banana Coconut tea and the Berries ‘n Cream tea. Both are phenomenal but my favorite is the Banana Coconut. It’s like vacation in a mug.
About Banana Coconut:
This tea is a smooth blend of rooibos, chamomile and lemongrass with notes of ripe banana, sweet coconut, graham cracker and a hint of caramel. This caffeine-free tropical blend will put a smile on anyone’s face. Try it iced and lightly sweetened for an extra refreshing summer beverage.
About Berries n’ Cream:
Our Berries ‘n’ Cream tea takes a rooibos base and transforms it into a vanilla truffle-like treat with succulent black currents, creamy white chocolate blossoms, and organic hibiscus. This naturally caffeine-free tea makes the perfect after-dinner dessert tea when sweetened with a little rock sugar.
Health Tip (courtesy of The Persimmon Tree): It is obvious that America is facing a serious health epidemic. Diabetes, heart disease, and obesity are threatening the lives and lifestyles of too many people. Although tea is not the sole answer to these conditions, the path to recovery depends on small, positive changes. Replacing a cup of soda or coffee with a cup of tea, daily, will prove the benefits.
