If you’ve been following us for a while you may remember our Zone Perfect Blog Forward Challenge #1 post back in January. If you don’t remember, here’s a quick recap…
Like lots of other people, we made three new year’s resolutions. Those were to
1) eat better
2) do at least a 30 minute workout each day
Disclosure: Although I receive free product samples and promotions items from ZonePerfect, my opinion is still my own and not influenced by compensation.
I kept my resolutions simple and tried not to set myself up for failure. I’ve actually been doing really well (with the exception of the eating better part during my 1st trimester) but I’m back on track. I’ve been spending more time playing with my daughter and doing activities that she actually wants to do instead of activities I suggest. I’ve been walking at least three miles a few times a week and I count playing with my daughter as a “workout” most days.
For me, clean eating can be a challenge. Eating enough protein can also be a huge challenge. Having a toddler at home and pregnancy cravings can sometimes make it hard to eat better but I try not to get too down on myself if I slip. I’m not actually trying to lose weight with this goal. I’m just trying to be a healthier me. Ways that I can improve my diet are: stop eating out so much, don’t buy the junk food and purchase easy snacks that pack a protein punch like ZonePerfect bars.
Now that the weather is warmer here in California, getting outside and exercising is so much easier. I don’t have to drag my daughter out on a walk in the freezing, windy weather and I don’t have to bundle us up so much. I find that walking with a buddy like my mom or a friend makes the walks go by so much faster. We usually stop about half way through our walks to let the kids play at the park, too.

Your FB link to the baby shower post is not redirecting properly. I get a "page cannot be found" error message from facebook at that link. I was able to go directly to your FB page and find the post that way but I wanted to let you know about the problem. 🙂

I weighed 254 and my resolution was to get back to what I was. I'm now 146 with only 10 more pounds to reach my goal so I'd say it's coming along pretty nicely 😛
