I absolutely love having fresh flowers in the house (when my allergies aren’t bothering me). I’m pretty familiar with some of the most popular online floral companies and I’m sure you are, too. This Friday I would like to share my bouquet from a company called The Bouqs.
When I ordered this bouquet I actually had no idea what flowers I was going to receive. I chose the “just make it awesome” option in hopes of a grand surprise. I definitely got a grand surprise with my 14 roses. These roses ended up being perfect for my Easter dinner table.
My flowers came as shown (below) wrapped in cardboard type paper. They arrived very fresh and nicely bundled together.
Since the roses all had very long stems, I ended up cutting the stems to fit the vase I decided to use. The roses were all packed at various heights so when I trimmed the stems they remained at the same levels to look great in the vase.
You can see in the images here that the flowers looked a little crowded in the vase I ended up choosing so what I did was I pulled out the shorter roses and placed them in their own vase. This was I was able to have a vase on the counter and a vase on the kitchen table and both bouquets matched.
Here’s the million dollar questions: Was this bouquet worth $40? Ehhh… I would like to see this bouquet about $10 cheaper to compete with some of the deals that the other floral sites have going on. I can’t wait to order another bouquet to prove me wrong about the price.
Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of the blooms. My bouquet lasted about a week with a little pruning and water changes every few days. This is about how long I would expect a bouquet to last so I was not disappointed. Because I chose the “just make it awesome” bouquet, I was honestly expecting an assortment of flowers.
