Spring Shopping at Kohl’s
Spring has made it’s way to central California. The blossoms are in full bloom and the bees are working hard. I’ve slowly but surely tucked my winter clothes away which has left me with somewhat of an empty closet. You know what that means? Shopping time!
Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kohl’s. I received a Kohl’s gift card to facilitate my post and as a thank you for participating.
When I think of Spring, I think of florals and corals. I was recently sent a $75 gift card to shop the new Spring collections from some of favorite designers at Kohl’s. I typically try to avoid the “Easter” look by avoiding pastel florals and stick to more of a modern floral design like the ones from LC by Lauren Conrad. I had fun shopping with my mom and daughter (two days in a row) and wanted to share one of my favorite outfits with you. Check out the video below:

For me, price is usually the deciding factor when purchasing clothes. I typically tend to shop clearance racks first because I’m a sucker for a “red tag.” I like to be able to spread my money as far as it will go, like many of you. What’s great about Kohl’s is that you get the trendy looks of famous designers and celebrities without the trendy price tags. For instance, the floral top that I have on in my video and most of the photos below from LC by Lauren Conrad was originally $44, but Kohl’s was having a sale which made the top $30. I can definitely spend $30 on a top and still feel good at the end of the day.
A great point to consider when shopping is that you can always change the look of a top or a pair of pants by simply pairing it with different shoes, jewelry or other accessories. This will help your money go further and give you different options for day or night. For this floral top (below) that I ended up purchasing, I can tuck it in for a more structure “business” look or untuck it for a daytime “mommy” look.
As a mom, I typically like to wear flowy, boho-style tops because I’m just not 100% confident in my belly area. I like that I have the option of wearing this top multiple ways but I especially like that it’s not clingy. If you’re like me and struggle with the belly area, I recommend trying a looser fitting top with a pair of cropped skinny jeans for spring. Make sure the top is long enough to cover the booty area so that it looks more like a tunic.
Out of all of the outfits I tried on, my favorite outfit combination was the dark skinny jeans from LC by Lauren Conrad ($50 on sale) with the floral boho top ($30 on sale). I feel that the outfit looked best with the LC by Lauren Conrad laser cut coral flats and the Jennifer Lopez coral purse. I was also really loving the look of the same outfit with the LC by Lauren Conrad booties. My next favorite outfit was the LC by Lauren Conrad black dress (seen below) with the ELLE denim jacket and Apt 9 fedora hat.
If you’re looking to spruce up your Spring wardrobe, you’ve got to head down to your local Kohl’s and check out their latest sales. Plus, you may be able to cash in on some Kohl’s cash or earn more when you shop!
