Fun in the Winter Sun with NO-AD Sunscreen

Living my whole life in California, I’ve spent the majority of my summers at beaches and lakes, and many sunny winter weekends in the Sierras skiing. I actually remember my friends and I slathering on baby oil for tanning when we were teenagers! Can you imagine the sunburns we got? As I got into my adult years I wised up and started using lotions and oils with SPF sunscreen in them.
Now, later in life, I am pretty good about using sunscreen ANY time I’m exposed to those harmful rays. I am olive complected, but I do tend to burn a little if I don’t use a good strong sunblock.
I had the opportunity to try some NO-AD brand sunscreens on a recent family trip to the beach. My granddaughter is 2 years old and very fair complected. We used the NO-AD “kids” SPF 50 continuous spray sunscreen on her. The spray is awesome, as you know how kids hate to stand and have you rub lotion on them! It is very silky and non-greasy, and water resistant for up to 80 minutes. I actually preferred the NO-AD “kids” SPF 50 over the adult SPF 45 lotion. It did not sting the eyes when it mixed with the pool or ocean water.
Now that summer is over and the weather has cooled down, we have to remember that our skin still needs protection. Even in cloudy conditions we are exposed to harmful rays.
NO-AD sunscreen are great products at really great prices! Their 16 ounce bottles of sunscreen lotions retail for between $7.99 and $11.99 – $11.99 being their most potent SPF’s at SPF 60 and 85. As the name says, they keep their prices down by not advertising. Sounds smart to me!

· Use a water-resistant, broad-spectrum SPF sunscreen with a value of 30 or higher
· Liberally apply sun protection 15 minutes before sun exposure
· Reapply every hour as needed, particularly after swimming or perspiring
· Your lips need protection, too—use an SPF 15 or higher lip balm
