Cabo San Lucas has been a hot tourist spot for honeymooners and adults for years. My husband and I actually honeymooned there in 2009. We had a terrific time but there was just something missing. We wished we had friends and family there to enjoy the fun with us. We ran out of activities to do about mid-week and really had nobody to talk to other than each other. We were hoping to meet fellow honeymooners there but had no such luck. We left Cabo completely sick of Mexican food, timeshare salesmen and sales vendors.
We have always talked about going back to Cabo to visit friends and family that live nearby but have never actually ventured out there. Cabo San Lucas is just 1,000 miles south of the California border so it’s literally just a quick plane flight away for us. Now that my husband and I have our daughter, Cabo isn’t typically on our vacation destination list. Instead, we opt to go on cruises and explore the Caribbean because the cruise ships that we choose are very kid-friendly and offer plenty of activities for a toddler. However, after our recent stay with the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf and Spa Resort, my feelings have completely changed and my love for Cabo is stronger than ever.
The Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf and Spa Resort has made huge strides towards making Cabo San Lucas a fun, family-friendly destination. With their recent $300,000 worth of improvements designed to give kids the Mexican experience of a lifetime, the Sheraton is sure to be on every family’s travel bucket list. The Adventure Kid’s Club, family-friendly cuisine and affordability make the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar our favorite family-friendly resort in Cabo. I don’t want to bore you with a bunch of overwhelming facts about the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar (which can be found here) so I’ve decided to share what we loved about our most recent “girls trip” in November 2013.

Thank you to Epic DMC Los Cabos for our transportation. Check them out if you are planning a wedding, event or vacation in Cabo.
The room service at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar was the best I’ve ever had. The presentation of the food was amazing as well as the taste. |
I couldn’t get enough of the Capresse Salads. I pretty much ordered one every day I was there. |
Amazing flan! |
My daughter was pampered with a special Kid’s Manicure courtesy of the Sheraton. She loved the chocolate scrub, despite the expression on her face. |
Living the life! |
Happy girl! |
Our favorite “family-friendly” restaurant was Tomatoes. The view was amazing, the food was delish and you had the option of doing a buffet which is always fun. |
