My husband hates getting me flowers for one reason and one reason only…because they die! You spend upwards of $30 to have something for a week before they die. While this is unfortunate for me, I completely understand his reasoning and look forward to any other gifts he surprises me with throughout the year. Another thing my husband hates giving and receiving are greeting cards. He feels guilty throwing them away after he’s read them but he doesn’t want to hoard years and years of greeting cards. I’m a little more sentimental when it comes to greeting cards, though. I love to save the special ones in a little memory box to look back on. If your husbands are anything like mine with the whole “flowers and greeting card thing,” I’ve got the perfect solution for them. The Rose Card.
With The Rose Card, you can kill two birds with one stone because it’s both a rose and a card (in case you haven’t figured that out already). Now you can give and receive a rose that won’t die with the greeting card all wrapped up in one. The patent-pending card design allows the card to stay open for display – because we all love to display our fancy cards, right? You can have your Rose Card specially printed or you can handwrite a special message. Check out the awesome designs:
Love the idea of the Rose Card? Here’s the thing – Mark and Melissa, the creators of Rose Card, need your help. They need to get their Rose Card business going in ‘full bloom.’
Here’s how you can help:
There are four ways you can help with the campaign:
- Make a pledge. Any amount helps – thank you! And you can claim bragging rights for being one of the first to give a Rose Card!
- Tell a friend. Sharing is caring, and every little bit helps. We’ve made this link to help you easily share this campaign with those close to you.
- Submit a design. We’ve created some designs to help get the ball rolling, however, we need your creative genius to help The Rose Card flourish! Submit a design before this campaign ends to take advantage of the increased commission percentage on all cards sold with your design! Email us at mark@therosecard.com – and please read our Designer Agreement for more information.
- Tweet a saying. Are you the creative type? Great! Tweet or share #TheRoseCard and what you would write in a Rose Card for your special someone. We will pick our favorites each day and send you a free Rose Card before the campaign ends!
Production Schedule
The production schedule will vary based on the volume of roses ordered. They will continuously update their backers about the production schedule and if the volume will produce any delays:
- December 2013: Kickstarter campaign completes – order is placed for manufacturing.
- (mid) January 2014: The Rose Cards are shipped from our manufacturer to our warehouse in Vancouver, BC.
- February 2014: We receive the shipment of The Rose Cards at our warehouse. We ship out the early bird pledges.
- March 2014: We box and ship out the rewards to our remaining backers.
Early Bird Production
They are guaranteeing that all of the Early Bird pledges will receive their Rose Cards in the first week of February, so they can be used for Valentine’s Day. They have already began stocking cards, and will be making all of the cards for these pledges locally in Vancouver. The 2400 cards required to fulfill the pledge amount will take us until mid January to produce. This leaves them an extra week of buffer time before mailing the cards out in the third week of January. They’ve produced hundreds of prototypes in the production of this campaign. All of the cards used in the pictures and videos above were made by the same people who will make the ones you receive.
The Rose Card for Weddings and Events
I’m loving the idea of using Rose Cards at seating cards at a wedding or party. Inside the card you can add the menu for the evening, a personalized thank-you message or even a poem. |
