Affordability and quality are my two main concerns when it comes to sunglasses. Well, when it comes to anything, actually. I love a bargain but sometimes you have to sacrifice a little more out of the pocket book to get better quality products, especially when it comes to eyewear and sunglasses.
Eyewear is one area you do not want to skimp on. Poor quality sunglasses can actually harm your eyes worse than if you weren’t even wearing them. Sunglasses that aren’t 100% UVA/UVB blocking will actually dilate your pupils allowing more sunlight to come in which in turn harms your eyes and vision. Firmoo, the world’s most popular online eyeglasses store has actually given me a chance to try some of their sunglasses and share my thoughts with you all.
I’m such a fan of retro-looking sunglasses. The cat-eye look is really in right now and so is the Ray-Ban Wayfarer look. After much deliberation, I was finally able to settle on a pair of sunglasses from Firmoo.com. I decided on these retro sunglasses in the tortoise color.
I love how dark the lenses are. Call me crazy but I hate when people can see my eyes through my sunglasses. Maybe some of you can relate? The tortoise color is super chic, too. Something that is unclear on the Firmoo website is if these lenses are 100% UVA/UVB protected. The website doesn’t give too much information about the glasses but I do know that you can order them in your customized prescription which is pretty awesome. If you wear glasses I suggest you order a pair of sunglasses in your prescription if you haven’t already.
Overall, I give these sunglasses a 3.9 out of 5. Here’s why… I wish the sunglasses were a little taller. I’m not a fan of my eyelids showing when wearing sunglasses so this is a ‘con’ for me. Another ‘con’ is that the website doesn’t really give much information about the glasses such as the sun protection factor. I am, however, very happy with the price. $39 is super reasonable for a chic pair of sunglasses, in my opinion.
