Marley Mouse wants to make some new friends. During Marley’s search, she meets four kind creatures who are very different from her. Sweet Marley offers her friendship to each of them despite their differences and has lots of fun with her new friends.
This adorable book is great for children of all ages. As the description above states, it teaches children to love everyone despite their differences. For example, little Marley Mouse meets Sally Snake. Sally Snake mentions that she can’t walk but she can still move. Marley Mouse explains that it’s okay and that she still wants to be Sally’s friend. They go on to meet Freddy Frog, Danny Duck and Patti Pig. They each have their differences but are as happy as can be together.
The illustrations by Dwain Esper really portray the innocence of little Marley Mouse. She’s sweet and kind and just wants to make friends. The bright colors and designs fill the pages and really capture my little one’s attention.
I love that there’s no negativity in this children’s book. My daughter is only two so a positive, easy-read story is just what she needs. The rhymes of this story are so sweet and friendly. You can’t help but feel all warm and fuzzy when you read it.
