There are many factors that come into play when a person looks to buy a new car. Some people look for how the car will perform, while others want to know all about its gas mileage. There are those people, though, who care most about how much money they’ll receive when they finally sell their car. Toyota Matrix sales are up in some parts of the country, as more people are finding out what many Toyota and Lexus owners have known for years. That’s that these cars will hold a lot of value if they’re cared for.

The ability to run forever
Perhaps saying forever is a bit of an exaggeration, as there is probably some breaking point for every vehicle. Even if one can’t expect a Toyota to run for two million miles, one can reasonably expect to get more than 200,000 solid miles out of these vehicles. This matters when it comes time to re-sell the car, as used car buyers are often looking for a high mileage car that will last.
Re-sale value depends on good service
What many are finding out is that the ability to cash in on good re-sale deals rests squarely in their hands. If they’re willing to spend a little bit of money while they own the car, then it will be in good shape when it comes time for them to make a sale. The future value of a vehicle depends on good service, and Toyota owners can always turn to the many dealerships across the country to get this service.
My husband and I took great care of our Toyota during the three years that we owned it, hardly putting any miles on it. We never ate in it or wore dirty shoes inside to preserve the interior. Because we took such great care of our Toyota, we were able to sell it for top dollar.

Yup, this is all very good and true info especially about the resale value! I bought my Toyota brand new, owned it for 8 years and got a 45% return when we sold it! We've owned 3 Toyota and still own one and we've loved them for all these reasons!

I totally miss my Matrix!!! It was a lease (tax deduction reasons) and we got a bigger car when we turned it in but… I miss my baby. It was the perfect size!
