I’m so excited to share a new (to me) brand of diapers that I am loving right now. Bambo Nature’s Premium Eco-Friendly Baby Diapers are totally passing our tests which is why I am so excited to tell you about them (and offer a giveaway).
My Thoughts
When my daughter was first born we had a stockpile of different brands of diapers form our baby showers. We came home from the hospital using Pampers, then switched to Huggies. We stuck with Huggies Snug & Dry till she was about 15 months old and then switched to a more affordable brand, Luvs. We’ve been loving Luvs because of the price and the fit. They are the closest thing to Pampers and are great for my daughter’s size and body shape.
When we travel, we typically buy diapers when we get to our destination so that we don’t have to fly with huge bags of diapers. This means we usually end up switching brands which is no bueno for my daughter’s bottom. On our most recent trip to Maui, we switched to Huggies since that’s all that the Safeway had at a reasonable price. Her bottom immediately broke out in a rash. What I dislike about Huggies size 4 diapers is that they have a funny smell. I’m assuming this smell is the reason my daughter broke out in a rash?
We were recently given the chance to try out a brand of diapers I had never heard of, Bambo Nature USA. I typically stay away from the natural, eco-friendly diapers because the price tag is usually way more than I choose to pay for disposable diapers. I typically pay about 17 cents per diaper with Luvs and the Bambo Nature diapers are about 57 cents per diaper for the size 4+ pack. You get 54 diapers in this pack which is enough to last us 2+ weeks. I love the size 4+ because it’s like a 4 1/2, instead of a 4 or 5. The fit is just like the Luvs so I definitely can’t complain there. There’s no gross smell like the Huggies had and they absorb just as well, if not better than Luvs.
One thing I do notice is that when my daughter is wearing the Bambo diapers, she tells me when she’s gone potty, which is something she never did with Luvs or any other brand. I’m thinking that they feel a bit heavier than Luvs or possibly colder when saturated? This is a good thing because we are going to be tackling potty training as soon as we get back from our vacation this month.
Overall, I love the diapers but wish they were a little cheaper. Like I mentioned before, I stay away from the eco-friendly diapers because of the price so this is nothing personal against the company.
