I’m kind of a skeptic with laundry gimmicks, so I really wasn’t too sure if the Woolzies Dryer Balls would be something I would use on a regular basis, but after trying them I definitely would continue to use them!
I first used them on a load of regular clothes (about half a wash load) and they left everything really soft and the clothes had minimal wrinkling. There is no scent on the balls as they come out of the package, which is great for our family with multiple skin allergies! You can add an essential oil to them if you want a scent, but unscented is fine for us as we usually use all the “free and clear” laundry products. My second load was a large load of towels. They came out of the dryer super fluffy and seemed to take a little less time to dry.
One really great thing I did notice is that our dog, Willie, is scratching a lot less. I washed his blankets and used the Dryer Balls when drying them. He has seasonal skin allergies and normally scratches like crazy, so this is another great benefit!
The idea that these last 1000 loads is awesome! That alone will save tons of money! I think the only negative was that with the smaller load I could hear the balls bouncing around a tiny bit, but not enough to really make it annoying. With the large load of towels I couldn’t hear them at all. I’ve used the silicone dryer balls before and they made a lot more noise than the Dryer Balls did.
All in all… you save money with the Woolzies Dryer Balls and get all the same benefits that you would using a liquid fabric softener or dryer sheets which also contain a lot of chemicals. With Woolzies you are getting a 100% natural, handmade product, which is so important these days with everyone trying to go as “green” as possible!
